If Dragons are considered semi-mythical, then the Dragonborn really ARE mythical, even to the wise of Kementari. These half human, half Draconic beings are rumored to be the chief servants of Dragons, serving as their major-dormos and generals commanding armies of Kobolds and other humanoids.
