The Distorted Lands

The distorted lands is a far future world where technological marvels called “Conduits” are some of the only remnants of past civilisations. The conduits can range from completely useless to very powerful and it has been proven possible to combine conduits to create effects capable of destroying cities. As a note on the name of the world: It is called “distorted” due to how extreme the biomes are. Deserts are hotter, mountains higher and storms more violent than what would be natural.

There are four main species. the Venira, who are descendant from humans, but evolved to be better adapted to deserts and mountains, and the remaining three are more closely related to humans and also more human in appearance. These three are known collectively as "Xalnans".
