Kyrald Stibb was a banker in the capital city of Honirham in the Old Pale Empire at the time of the War of the Three Sisters. He was engaged to Princess Cecilia when the war broke out, a prospective marriage of convenience arranged by her mother, Lady Pelle. Although the engagement was never formally broken, it seems likely that it would have been, after Lady Pelle found a replacement for him, a covert deal she had agreed with Field Marshall Gerald Cartwright out of necessity when a different kind of alliance proved necessary.
It is not certain how much of this ever came back to the banker, who was said to be heartbroken when Princess Cecilia was executed.
