Anoomenon Upper Estuary Forts
The Upper Estuary Forts stand within the middle of the maze of channels that guard the way upriver on the Perque and into the heart of Anoomenon. During the age of the Succession Empires, an infamously bloody battle took place in the Perque estuary in 1734 AF when the Thin Princes led the armies of the House of Thorns in an attempt to capture the city. The attack met with fierce resistance at the Lower Estuary Forts and then when these finally fell to the invaders, it was the Upper Estuary Forts which withstood the assault and changed the tide of history.
Alterations
The forts were significantly upgraded in 1567 AF and again in 1680 AF as tensions increased during the age of the Succession Empires. This proved to be a wise decision.
