The Bramble
The Bramble is a location within the Dark Forest that seems to have a living will. It looks very much like the surrounding areas, but every inch of the area is covered in tough, elastic vines, known as the Ashvine.
Geography
Like many other areas within the Forest, Ashvine's Grove will frequently change topography, elevation, or even size. Due to the tough vines strangling the trees, it's extremely difficult to make progress within the Bramble, and the Ashvine's reputation has kept most people away from it whenever it appears.
Fauna & Flora
While in certain cases fauna is allowed to roam through the grove without fear, most of the larger creatures, particularly those labeled as guardians of the Dark Forest, are attacked shortly after trespass. These creatures are linked eternally to the Bramble after entering, creating a "Dark Forest within the Dark Forest." This time however, there is no way out.
Natural Resources
The Ashvine, while nearly indestructible, can still be cut and is highly prized by both the residents of the Campgrounds and Lostling's Hope. It is elastic, strong, and fireproof, making it an ideal construction material. The danger of staying near the living Ashvine for very long makes it prohibitive to gather however, and gathering seeds for cultivation is forbidden after it was discovered that captive Ashvines are just as capable a puppeteer as the original plant.
