The Dark Forest

The Dark Forest is a world of nightmares and fairy tales. Containing endless colossal trees and inhabited entirely by nightmares and monsters, it's a dreary and unfriendly place.   Anyone can find it, but few survive to tell of it. Those that do remember that night recall it as a dream, and tell of a storytelling salamander bathed in purple flame. "Feed me stories and keep my fire alive," it said, "And I will keep you safe until morning." They fall asleep listening to the stories the Salamander tells, only to wake up in the last place they could remember.   No one knows if the Forest is real. Few care. Some want to find it again.
