Clara Ambritt is a young Sky Folk living in the floating village of Cirrus in The Open Sky. Clara is the author of "Clara A's World Notes", a Webnet page, where she uploads travel blogs and research from her travels.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Clara is somewhat tall by Skyfolk standards, though retains fairly average proportions, if a little longer in the legs. She is solidly built with a squarish torso, thick sturdy legs and a low centre of gravity.
Body Features
Clara is of generally average proportions for Skyfolk, being fairly stocky and a little shorter than the average Human, though a little longer in the legs than most Skyfolk. While she might be considered somewhat fat by the standard of other human instances, she's not much above the average weight for Skyfolk of her height.
Her torso is robust and wide around the middle with a slightly protruding stomach and a below-average sized chest. Her hips are about the same width as her shoulders and lead into her sturdy and thick legs.
She is somewhat muscular, though the definition is mostly hidden by a layer of fat. Thanks to this, she can often surprise people with her strength, even if she doesn't consider herself that strong. This is fairly average for Skyfolk who generally have a higher strength-to-size ratio than other humans, though Clara's above-average height gives her a slight edge.
Facial Features
Clara has a rounded face with prominent cheeks, thick eyebrows and a wide jawline. She has a thick squarish nose that leads into a subtle browline. Her dark brown eyes are slightly sunken with shadowed bags underneath and have a friendly (if a little tired) resting expression. Clara's mouth is wide with full lips, though they are often a little chapped from repeated lip biting. The skin on her upper cheeks has a few subtle darker blotches.

Clara has no formal employment, though generally earns her keep by helping out around her island. She also occasionally does some courier work with her propglider for various local businesses, including her sister

Clara is an inquisitive lass, curiosity being one of her main drives in life. Even before she started compiling her blog, she had notebooks full of pretty much anything she learnt about the world around her.

Likes & Dislikes
Clara is a lover of food, she will take any opportunity to try something new as she travels. Her standards aren't exceptionally high so she will eat pretty much anything as long as it's not too bitter or bland. This is also accompanied by a similar love of cooking, even if she's not exactly the best at it.
She also has a strong interest in learning new topics and will spend hours researching anything that catches her interest. Despite this avid research, a lot is a little beyond her understanding, giving her a lot of surface-level knowledge about all kinds of things, but rarely going beyond that unless the topic really gets her latched to the idea of it.
Virtues & Personality perks
Clara is able to quickly pick up new skills, if anything catches enough of her attention, she will latch onto it and learn as much as she can before moving on to the next thing. This has led to a chaotic mix of skills, ranging from horticulture and bird handling to coding and microlight piloting.
Vices & Personality flaws
While she has a fairly confident and relaxed appearance, she is a lot more prone to nervousness than she lets on. She does fairly well at hiding this most of the time, but will often have to hide away at home for several days if she attempts to keep up the facade too long.
Clara is also fairly forgetful and easily distracted. She attempts to alleviate this with regular note-taking, but even this isn't always enough to keep on top of everything.
Hygiene
Clara keeps herself fairly clean, though has no problem with a bit of dirt as long as she has an immediately available way to clean up and dry afterwards. She finds even the idea of being stuck in a state of tactile dirtiness incredibly unpleasant.
Clara shaves her face more often than most Skyfolk, making her unusually clean-shaven by their standards, whereas most would have some light stubble. She finds her facial hair uncomfortable (and simply just doesn't like the look), so makes an active effort to remove as much as possible. She can occasionally be seen with some light fuzz on her cheeks during winter when she usually has her face covered with scarves and masks. Her other body hair is generally left alone, more in line with Skyfolk standards, leaving her arms and legs a little fuzzy.

Clara often stands rather awkwardly, regularly shifting weight back and forth between each leg, tapping her feet and holding her hands close to her chest. She has a tendency to fidget or chew on anything she is holding, often resulting in her hands being dotted by swipes of pen ink.
Speech
Clara's voice is somewhat deep, though is prone to voice cracks, especially when excited or stressed. Her accent is fairly average of Skyfolk from her region, not dissimilar from a Broad Norfolk accent on Earth. The accent is fairly light most of the time, though sometimes becomes stronger, depending on who she's talking to or what she's saying.
She typically speaks in a fairly subdued voice but can push for a much more energetic voice when she wants to, though keeps to her quieter voice most of the time.
