The Creedverse

This is not the Wild West of our world, but it may be the one you're looking for.   This is a world where a young Nikola Tesla invented the light bulb around 1874. The discovery of the luminiferous ether has made steam power more effective. Mechanical men and animals are popular among the well-to-do and big businesses and serve a variety of functions. Many people now have powerful steam generators attached to their businesses and homes, running lights, clocks, mechanical iceboxes, and more.   It's also an era of outlaws and lawmen, of prostitutes and gamblers, and of a society changing as technology advances.   Then, society receives a shock when U.S. Marshal James Creed is gunned down while pursuing a psychotic outlaw, and week's later, reappears, risen from the dead. There's nothing supernatural behind his resurrection, however. James "Bodacious" Creed was brought back with technology, a hunk of metal against his skull, his eyes those of an automaton.   And, not long after, several more zombies appear.
