Sky and Sea Mountain

Sky and Sea mountain is a lone mountain next to Soramizu in the Henderent Plains . It is well known for it's bluff containing an ancient Dragon meet hotel and expansive underground complexes.   Formerly an active volcano, it is dormant but with occasional geothermal activity. A few lonely buildings dot the mountain but most do not build there but in the hills and delta of the city below. This is due to the many superstitions and myths surrounding the mountain. As dragons have not been seen for quite some time the existence of an old dragon hotel is alone an oddity usually avoided.   Some worry that the ancient wizard Orinfel is responsible for the illusions, disappearances and odd behavior of magic high on the mountain, others say that the mountain was the departure point for dragons from this world and they will return someday to rain fire upon the city.

Localized Phenomena

Upon the high reaches of the mountain some magic tends to work usually. Divination magic generally fails, instead reciting ancient prophesies or giving glimpses of other places or times completely unrelated to what is wanted. Some have even been driven mad by this. Though there are small number of diviners who think that if this phenomena can be understood they would gain the ability to be nearly omniscient. Additionally the use of evocation will half the time function as expected and the other half will produce a necromantic effect instead.   It is forbidden to bury corpses within the mountain as it is said that they will return as undead. This is supported by a flock of undead crows that lives upon the mountain, and it's actual cause is unknown. Occasionally a witch or wizard has been able to make one of these undead crows it's familiar, though that still has not provided insight as to how they function or are created.
