Gurgilipop

The Kingdom of Gurglipop covers a scattered set of settlements in the waters south of the Island Continent of Bellflower . It consists of a variety of militant fishmen who want to rule all the seas from New Minam to the Henderent Plains. This is in reality far beyond what they are actually capable of, but unrealistic expectations are a hallmark of their society.   Periodically they raid villages in the Towers of Stone, the Matron Mysterium, Tua Janin and the Argon Empire. They also work to raid passing ships, but quickly abandon that attack if there is sufficient force presented to them. As a result mercenaries companies often sell travel protection services between ports of Miuzu and Roya and travel back and forth along that sea course. These experts are known as Fish Flayers or the Wave Lashers. Still the risk of ship assault and plundering is a present danger along the coast because the raiding Gurglipop.

At slow simmering War

While the Mysterium doesn't believe it is at war, it believe they are just being raided by a disorganized force of raiders. The Gurgilipop however believe they are in pitched war for dominance. This difference of perspective leads to great confusion when the Mysterium doesn't take the fish folk threats seriously. Translation also tends to be an issue as the fish folk emissaries rarely speak clearly enough for others to understand them.
