Naltry

Naltry is a large region of hills and valleys dotted by thick forests of bamboo, which are most prevalent in the south but still cover much of the area. The land is primarily segmented from the rest of Omwela by The ringpeaks to the west and The Suoi Mountains to the east; in the northeast, there are two primary passes through these mountains called the gates of naltry closely guarded by the naltrinese for fear of foreigners. In the south, most outside trade flow through the city of yuoi on the isle of ytel at the mouth of The Niin River. On the same river is the city of Hlong, the capital, known for its various canals and waterworks alongside sweeping wooden palaces and temples, all built of bamboo and stretched silk.

Geography

In the far south of the region sprawls The Great Linehi Jungle

Fauna & Flora

The region of naltry is notable for its massive insects including, dragonflies, centipedes, and most important of all, the silkworms. Each of these only grows in Naltry's unique climate -dying if brought elsewhere-, thus giving the naltrinese a monopoly over the all-important silk produced by silkworms and the medicinal nectar from the dragonflies. As well as being economically influential, these insects are enshrined in naltrinese culture and life; they are sacred in the naltrinese religion Trekism because of their status as divine spirits and because they're a symbol of The Empire.

Tourism

The Naltrinese are broadly skeptical of foreigners and thus they limit their passage and stay to a few cities along the southern coast in The Gates Of Naltry. Foreign travelers name these places The Vibrant Cities for the dyes traded there and the bustling presence within the cities.
