The Ringpeaks

The Ringpeaks are a series of massive mountain ranges that encircle the inner seven continents. They are separated from each main continent by a long stripe of barren land, which ranges anywhere from 1.2 - 1.6 miles across. The climate in the peaks is also freezing, which has made them essentially impassable for most of history and partially up until today.

Geography

The Ringpeaks vary little from continent to continent with two excepts; Yevela and Grathil.
  1. The Ringpeaks on Yevela are uniquely large; they stretch nearly 3 miles into the sky, they also cover just over a 5th of the continent, much more than any other. Atop these mountains lay a craggy wasteland of Spires, steep gorges, and tall plateaus. they're also one of few with continuous habitation, by a people called the Tunvavvaki who live in clans on the many plateaus.
  2. The Grathilian Ringpeaks are also notable for the opposite reason; they're vastly less pronounced. To the point that they are mostly underwater and many prominent mountains are simply collections of islands, known as Keth and Tasn Kloskon. Throughout these two regions, the slope of the peaks creates various valleys and passes, turning them from a single unified landmass into two great archipelagos. Living among these islands are the Unikornl, xenophobic people living harsh lives in bitter conditions.

Natural Resources

ocharine, the rock that makes up the ringpeaks, is special because of its stark white color and extreme tensile strength exceeding most metals. the material is also sporadically found around the world, like in the palestone lands of hocier, some parts of western elackal, and even in tyet; people in many of these regions put the material to use, however, none have exploited it as much as the DCY. in yevela the government operates many mines throughout the ringpeaks which they use to extract ocharine to be used in construction projects alongside ialalon.
