Basic Information

Biological Traits

They have the ability to possess the bodies of the dead to interact with the physical world. This can also work with a living person but it is much harder as the soul rejects the Wanderer after a while and can lead to harm for the host in question. They corpse that they often process decays slower then it usually does often taking decades to completely walk away. When they are in spirit form they can travel where ever they please, but are unable to be seen, communicate and interact with any physical objects or  living unless they are very angry or in distress. They are unable enter to cross areas that certain energy signatures or magic bound. But though magic and metal they are able force themselves to physically remain apart of the physical world.

They often make their home in Death's Turf as it is one of the few places that allows them to live in peace.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Since they are dead they require no dietary needs, but when the posses a body they only try to remember what it feels like to eat and taste food.

They often do what ever they want since they are dead. But some keep law and order among themselves when they need to. But they only really organize when they want to work, build or head off to war.

They often great others any way they like since it doesn't really matter to them and only do it out of courtesy.

When they possess a corpse they try to cover up any horrify details on them such as open wound or decaying flesh. Along with clothing of what gender to show some decency and act more like they were alive.

Wanderers often hail from all cultures and way of life. Which they often try to replicate when they try to pass the time or try to enjoy what they had when they were alive.

History

It is unknown how a Wanderer remain in the world of the living after they die and not cross into the afterlife. The first recorded Wanderer where on the continent of Pheonixa. With them being those who did during the great exodus of the those leaving the Kingdom of Van Carno⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ that would later form Gear Nation⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ along with a few that head south that would later become Tikasa⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ and create the Unified Tikasa Tribes⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣. These wanderers would be confused and be unable to accept that they were dead and began trying to find a way to interact with the physical world. The only way they could at the time was to possess a corpse and began to make contact with the living. Which did not end well and their physical bodies were destroyed, only to anger them and return to Death's Turf  and go into isolation from the rest of the continent. They found other corpses and began wandering across the ruins of the dead lands that they inhabited to find meaning in their deathless existence. Unitl some decided to build their own society out of their undead existence and try to do the things that they did when they were alive. The living would eventual find their way into their lands and try to send them away, but they would fail every time and from those who died more Wanderers came into being and their numbers grew. War would be common, but it would often happen once in a while as no one knew how to deal with them. Until they found a way to seal them away into magical objects. These would infuriate them and undead hordes of Wanderer would wreak havoc upon the living. it wasn't until the formation of the The Pheonixian Dominions that peace would finally come to them and the living would stop harassing them. After a while some of them would pass on to the after life and new ones would take their place on the continent and beyond it. All trying to find meaning in their existence after death and waiting for the day that their time will truly come.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The living often see them as ungodly creatures and they to chase them away with magic or holy rituals to send them to the other side. Which often only angers them as they can not cross to the other side. They only real place that they can try to find some peace is often in Death's Turf in the The Pheonixian Dominions where they are tolerated and are allowed to live in peace and live a citizens.
