Ukulam
Ukulam is a continent on Castrovel, best known as a protected reserve filled with biological wonders, and civilizations unfamiliar with the mysteries of space. It is considered the duty of every Castrovelian to protect the sanctity of Ukulam, and nongovernmental organizations assigned to the continent (such as the Esowath Conservancy) have been authorized to shoot invaders on sight. Licenses to visit Ukulam are almost impossible to receive, but some organizations -- such as Project 9 -- have ways of going under the red tape.
Geography
Primarily comprised of wild jungles and thick taigas, many consider Ukulam as two halves surrounding the Singing Range, stretching from north-west to south-east. The southern half, which contains the Ikal Expanse, is by far the most explored, given the land bridge between the continent and Asana. The Northern Steps are relatively unknown, with few willing to risk an expedition so far from civilization, and are considered uninhabitable.
