Basin Below
The Basin Below is a massive lake of Wither located in the center of the Last World, and is considered the central landmark of the Dark Tapestry. It is the source of Vacuus, and is where all of existence is slowly pulled -- like a supernatural black hole -- until it is absorbed by the Basin.
The Dark Fey guard the Basin Below as a species, and put aside all conflicts when it comes to its use. The Cult of the Elder Mythos, particularly followers of Azathoth, treat the Basin as a holy symbol, often seen as a series of jagged spirals in their art. There are some who believe the Basin itself is a manifestation of the Blind Idiot God, but this is hotly debated among the sects of the Cult. While Albus Rickette claims to have seen the Basin in his memoirs, he states that he never got close, as terror overtook his mind long before he could reach it.
