Thurible of Fog
Just before the members of the Cult of the Black Sun enter the next settlement they plan to "convert", a mysterious fog starts to surround it. No matter how close to The Tree and its protective Glow, the fog seems to lure various beasts, cutting off the settlement from all outside help. And that's when the "recruiters" make their appearance.
Appereance
Thurible of Fog is a small container made out of two black metal shells connected to each other that can be moved whenever one needs to insert more incense into the censer. The top part of the thurible has holes shaped like the symbol of the Black Sun that allow the smoke to spread outside.Properties
When any kind of burnable material is placed within the censer and lit up, the censer will start to produce enormous amounts of fog, easily able to cover up to even a few square kilometers of the area with it. The exact area covered depends on the type of flammable material used, with paper and wood creating small zones, while incenses covering much larger areas. The fog is supernatural in nature and can't be dispersed in any natural or mechanical way. It can, however, be destroyed or blown away by magical effects, such as certain Songs or very powerful Wind Elemental Crystals. Inside the fog, various carnivorous creatures show up. It is unknown whether they are constructs of the fog itself, does the fog lure the creatures from surrounding areas or does it somehow summon them from the other parts of The Pit. Once the fog disappears, the creatures seem to vanish without any trace leading outside.
