The War of the Spider
"So-called War of the Spider was a tragedy.
What else you would call a conflict in which every single soldier died before the battle even started? There were two cities - Roak and Dran, both located near large deposits of natural Crystals.
As it is easy to guess, none of the cities wanted to share.
Just a few days after discovery of said Crystals, the cities started to prepare for upcoming battle.
That is when The Spider's people showed up.
They went to rulers of both cities and delivered them a proposition from the Spider.
The man promised to get rid of another side of conflict if they bid a larger sum of money than their enemies.
Problem was, none of the cities knew how much their enemies bid.
Scared of the Spider, they started bidding.
The rumors say that they reached quite enormous sums.
The day before the battle, the Spider stopped the "auction" and took the money from the winner.
In reality, he took the money from both of the cities.
The night fell.
Next morning, none of the soldiers were alive, no matter if they were in the camp or still in their houses.
He and his men knew every single soldier, even those in reserves, and slaughtered them. And that is the story of one of the scariest conflicts that happened in The Pit . What happened to the Roak and Dran?
Well, after losing so many strong people, many of which were guards and warriors, the defenses of the cities fell.
They were both attacked by monsters, and their people had to escape.
And the Spider?
He took all the money and then he sent his people to extract Crystals the Roak and Dran wanted to fight for. He's a devil, not a human, I tell you."
