War of Enlightenment or Enlightenment Wars

Importance

The Empire of the Seeree founded 321 BDA and ending around 147 ADA, were the most influential group in the development of the practices and innovations that led to the rationalizer casters and indirectly to the industrial renaissance that has occurred under the rationalist guidance. The Seekers branch of the Seeree civilization were the first to develop bright lures technologies through rigorous monastic study and isolation in their remote seclusiums. This allowed the Seeree to conquer the bright becoming the first of the mortal races to do so. Allowing the builders/rooted branch of the Seeree civilization to create large cities and habitats within the bright protecting them from outside meddling and conflicts. For many years they lived in the safety of their isolated cities where they flourished and prospered. Though they brought their own downfall growing power-hungry and indifferent to the plight of their own people and to the people of the outside world that they long ago abandoned.

Seeree Civil War

Tensions rose between the builders/rooted and the gifters, the branch that still held to their traditional belief system and favored the worship of one god particularly. That of a giant deer-like being they called the keeper of the green or the traveler, which would lead their people through the bright taking the quickest safest path. The tensions eventually led to open conflict when the builders tried to capture and utilize the keeper of the green's power accidentally causing the god's death. This unforgivable and heinous action caused the gifters to assault and permeate violence's against the builders in order to uphold their vengeance. Months of open conflict and killings led the outnumbered gifters to seek allies elsewhere and allowed the conflict to boil over into other lands. The Seeree's impetuous and carelessness led to the attention of the Sanctum cities when a Seeree conflict progressed into an Ancient Alliance military campaign of the recapturing of the Sanctum City of Adhbah, the jeweled capital of the great desert. Seeing first hand the powers/magics the Seeree wielded made the Sanctum Cities envious of such power. Compared to their casters the Adroit, the Seeree were miles ahead in understanding and control of magic, and their use and creation of weaves gave them greater utility and power over the Adroit.

The War of Enlightenment or Enlightenment Wars

Even in victory, there is no beauty, and he who calls it beautiful is one who delights in slaughter.- The Righteous Supreme Knight General of Gleamarm's Armies Berengerus the Vigilant
The joint forces leaders of the sanctum cities that make up the Ancient Alliance eventually met with the gifters and joined them in their conflict. Though unknowing to the gifters they actually sought the knowledge of the Seeree peoples and would be the arbiters of the Seeree's downfall and the cause of the complete destruction of their civilization. With all of the joined forces of all the sanctum cities the gifters forces and tribal forces, the Ancient Alliance invaded the Seeree border. With the use of hard suits and early model aeronautical vessels/crafts. They quickly pushed into the Seeree cities and towns seeking any knowledge they could claim, and slaughtering indiscriminately staining the ground carmine as the blood dried. So much blood was spilled that day and so many lives were lost that it caused a Black Gate Phenomenon to occur which ushered all of the lost souls into the beyond. After months of slaughter and the genocide of the Seeree civilization and people the Ancient Alliance forces marched on the Seeree capital of DraeGourra now known as the city of glass or the glassed city. As a last and desperate act, a large number of the Seeree War casters made the ultimate sacrifice, severing their souls and connecting them to their weaves, to allow for the continued expression of their weaves stopping the progression of the mad devouring beasts, that were once men before succumbing completely to there blood lust. Though this only gave the Seeree a weak to mourn and to accept their fated end. A mountain pass was located allowing the forces of the Ancient Alliance to continue the pillaging and looting of the Seeree empire. Not wanting her people to be butchered and brutalized the queen of the builders had her people imbibe shade blood, turning every citizen into mindless monsters and inhuman beasts. A reflection of the enemy that slaughters the Seeree for months. These beasts massacred many soldiers and men before being pushed into the bright. To this day they are still a plague on the world.

Post War

The Seeree Empire became nothing but ruins their capital destroyed by the magical forces of their caster's sacrifices. No mortal walks within the city but those brave hunters and scavengers seeking knowledge loot or hunting one of the large amounts of the beast that still reside in those cursed walls. They were sacked for all and any information which led to the development and advancement of magic around the world. What groups of Seeree that remained after the war got incorporated into other societies. In fact, many members of the High Spire can trace their ancestries back to Seeree ancestors. These Seeree were tasked with decoding the secrets of their people and they went to this task in mournful silence. Mourning their part in the destruction and death of their people.

The Conflict

Deployment

The Ancient Alliance had access to the largest military force in the world being made up of all the "remaining" Sanctum Cities including The Sanctum City of Arnarfell and The Sanctum City of Karvend. Not including Adhah Ash Shamaliyah due to the fact it was just in a war, or Uliast or Dast Sahwan the new world's sanctum cities being that they were destroyed by the war breed during the Wars of lost trust. The Sanctum cities were using early model bolt action rifles, mortars, and cannons.   The Seeree fielded the largest group of war casters being made up of a couple thousand or so casters backed up by footman or horsemen militia soldiers.
