The Empire of the Seeree founded 321 BDA and ending around 147 ADA.

Early history and organization Pre Empire: The Seeree people originated as nomadic and monastic tribes. These tribes where made up of small family and community groups. They would migrate to other regions in times where the bright diminished and moved to other regions opening up large swaths of untouched land. They could travel throughout the lighter parts of the bright due to mental conditioning and the development of meditations and mindfulness exercises, as well as the imbibement of special flora, this has large similarities to the widely known ritual of purity. This granted them resistant's to the negative mental effects of the bright, giving them the ability to traverse it in short increments. They would travel and settle temporary settlements or temporarily join already established communities. They would bring crafts, trade goods, news and skills. They were widely known to be skilled tinker's and crafts people as well as fine engineers and builders. As well as traveling wild casters or Adriot's. They had both a verbal and written record and language which allowed them to pass information and stories to other Seeree groups also allowing them to keep records and documents for historical reasons as well as for further use. The gathered news and information would be traded with other communities, the Seeree would go out of there way to study anomalies left from bright fall storms, as well as to study old ruins from Abu Salathah the Sorcerer Kings empire.   Encountering The Children of Enlightenment: In the Seeree travels they encountered the Atfal-Al-Stanareh or the Children of Enlightenment, students and followers of the sorcerer Kings teachings. They are the inheritors of Abu Salathahs innovations and discoveries in the way of magic/weaving. The Seeree sought to learn from the Children of Enlightenment they did this through commerce and trade of information. They used there trust in other communities to spy for the Children and would over time gain there trust and there teachings. The Children of Enlightenment taught the Seeree how to work the threads of power, then how to fabricated weaves with the worked threads. They taught the Seeree rituals, traditions about there belief's and what is and how to control or manipulate there chroma. These teachings added with the knowledge the Seeree gathered over generations allowed them to become a formidable society of magic users and casters.   Pacts with the Whispering Lords: Through isolated monastic practices the Seeree saw within the world secrets, whispers from Powers long forgotten.Sharing memories and knowledge fro ages past. The powers sought to return to the world through great ritualist acts of belief, acts of faith these powers who have now been named the Whispering Lords once again formed, gaining the ability to manifest within the world. For the Seeree were not the first or only ones who sought gifts through listening. All throughout Ethiothas gifts were shared to those to listened       and unlike the Seeree who refused to perform acts of cruelty others had no such restraint. Only going as far as performing rituals of animal sacrifice and blood rites.    The seeree refused the lords dominance over them These gifts were not freely givin They held greater gifts for greater acts the Seeree redefined aspects of three of the lords causing there eraser after the Seeree collapse for these acts the Coven of the Nine wills seek to punish those with Seeree blood Bloodties those with bloodties have sorcerous blood in their veins Those that had there bloodline market must answer when called upon The Velestrian church through crusade and conquest destroyed the ritual chambers seeing then as sites of heresy for long dead and illeverent gods. As a result of the crusades the Whispering lords once again were forced from the world of the living losing their hold on the world and unable to have have a physical presence.      After learning the secrets of the Al-Stanareh the Seeree went to work establishing more permanent habitat's and structures to allow them to research and contemplate the laws of magic and there teachings. As well as providing residents to initiates the Seeree recruited to booster there numbers. They sought to discover everything about magic, how weaves are created how to improve the design, how to innovate on the traditional methods and teachings, and how to increase and better control there chroma. There years of rigorous monastic studies and isolation from the world came to a head when they created the first and earliest forms of bright lures. Magical devices which attracts the bright to them, condensing it and diminishing its density in the area. The Seeree found if they created a system of three inner rings that outer most ring of bright lures would lure and condense a large portion of the bright, the second ring would condense anything remaining from the bright and the inner most ring would be a back up. With in the inner ring the development of civilizations was possible after the land within it was developed. This would allow crop growth and farming, as well as allow for animal care and husbandry, as well as for the development of family units. This invention would allow the Seeree to establish cities and habitats even in parts of the deep bright. After building up there civilization the Seeree's next purpose was to discover the lost knowledge of the ritual of ascension. A ritual that was lost to the Al-Stanareh for three generations, they claimed that it could expand a casters chroma reserves as well as allowed them to traverse the bright in its entirety with out suffering bright sickness, or the physical and mental maladies that the bright causes.   Demographic Physiology: These short migrations throughout the bright caused physical changes and mutation which was largely exhibited by their unique purple iris color. Though in most cases their eyes would glow with a colorful light discovered to be the expression of their chroma. Due to their constant traveling around or within the bright they where always imbued with the bright causing their chroma reserves to constantly be full, and their eyes were the expression of that. The Seeree is not made up of one ethnic group but many that joined together during migrations through the bright. They would also bolster there numbers with followers from communities they had interactions with. After the Seeree learned from the Children of Enlightenment they increase recruitment to largely increase their population. This was done to minimize casualties caused by their enacting of a ritual learned by the Children of Enlightenment, the ritual of ascension which is designed to increase or expand the mortal pattern/mantle or the soul the vessel were chroma is held. Though this pursuit cost the Seeree a third of there population, but gifted them with the ability to travel through the bright even the deep bright in temporary intervals. This allowed them to recruit even more members from further and further communities it also increased the diversity almost completely overtaking the original ethnic groups. It also brought the Seeree unwanted attention and conflict with less cultured and more war like societies and peoples.   Religious beliefs and traditions: The Seeree originally believed in a type of animism, they believed that there were spirits everywhere. Mostly from dead ancestors who souls where taken and imprinted upon the bright. They believe the bright creates, and new life will come from it. This new life has the spirits of ancestors within them. The more powerful of these entities being the godkin's wild, infantile "gods" though in truth they don't even reach the first tier of the hierarchy of divinity. They are largely extinct in modern times, hunted to the brink of almost complete extinction. These godkin largely taken the form of supernatural animal like beings. The Seeree believed these godkins will lead there souls past the bright and one day into a paradise. The Seeree beliefs changed after developing the ability to create and caste weaves, they later came to believe that the strongest and powerful of their casters will become godkins after their deaths.   Seeree civil war: The founding and development of permanent habitats and cities led to the development of three branch's of Seeree society. The largest and most civilized group are called the Rooted or Builders they created much of the Seeree infrastructure they built great libraries full of the shared collective knowledge of the Seeree people. They also built educational buildings that taught casting/weaving along with many other academic pursuits. They were led by a powerful caster queen who later became the immortal mother queen of beasts. The Seekers kept the monastic traditions alive they believed that meditation and contemplation on matters of magic would lead to better understanding of it. The third and second largest group is the travelers or gifters they remained nomadic and sought to spread the gift of weaving to other peoples. They still held to there traditional belief system and favored the worship of one god in particular. That of a large deer like being they called the keeper of the green or the lord of travel. They claimed it would sometimes travel along with them, and lead them through the bright taking the safest quickest rout. Tensions where slowly rising among the Builders and Gifters. It all came to a head when the Builders tried to capture and segregate and utilize the lord of the green but accidently killed the "god". This caused the Gifters to strike against the Builders believing that there could be no forgiveness for there heinous actions. This led to a 20 year civil war between the two groups leading the Gifters to seek out allies beyond. The Seeree civil war flooded over to other lands and eventually led to the attention of the Ancient Alliance, an alliance of the sanctum cities. They were fighting a war over control of the sanctum city of Adhbah supporting the merchant lords in the conflict. They learned about the Seeree through the merchant lords and the rumors and claims they heard interested them greatly. They later saw first hand the power and control the Seeree held over there magic's when the two groups fought each other, compared to there casters the Adroit, the Seeree were miles ahead in understanding and control of magic and there use and creation of weaves gave them greater utility and power over the Adroit.   Military: The Seeree didn't have a permanent military the largest fighting forces that could be fielded by the Seeree was that of the Builders forces. A large portion of the fighting force was made up of weavers specifically battle or war casters/weavers. Many were equipped with arms and armor created from float stone. A crystalline material that interacts with chroma, floating when imbued with it, later used in the construction of airships. Due to the fact that many of the Seeree casters had a habit of overcasting which led them to become beacons. Beacons are individuals who lose control or use large amounts of chroma. The chroma builds up unconsciously getting ready for heavy use. In this circumstance the casters chroma leaks from them becoming visible to nearby opponents. The Seeree believed wrongly that the more they glowed the more godly and powerful they would become. Due to their use of float stone in there arms and armor production there lost chroma from overcasting was not wasted but went into powering there arms and armor. In battle Seeree looked like glowing armored clad warriors with large weapons made light due to the expression and release of chroma.   The War of Enlightenment or Enlightenment Wars: The Ancient Alliance with the help of small tribes and communities and the use of hard suits and the early model airships invaded the Seeree borders. They invaded Seeree cities and towns seeking any knowledge they could claim. They eventually pushed further into the Seeree territories. Meeting resistance by Seeree forces. The monastic sanctums of the seekers became prime targets. The Builders and Seekers joined together to fight back the invading armies, while the Travelers joined the invaders to uphold there revenge. After months of continuous battle and with diminished numbers the Seeree were finally pushed back to their capital of DraeGourra now known as the city of glass or the glassed city. As a last ditch effort many Seeree casters sacrificed them selves by joining there souls to power, powerful weaves to stop the Ancient Alliances advancement. It worked until a mountain path was found allowing the Ancient alliance to remain in their pillaging and looting of the Seeree empire. Before they reached the city and butchered the citizens the Seeree's queen order every citizen to imbibe Shade Blood turning them into monsters, beast, inhuman abominations. These beast massacred many soldiers and man before being pushed into the bright. To this day they are still a plague on the world.   Post War: The Seeree Empire became nothing but ruins their capital destroyed by the magical forces of their casters sacrifices. No mortal walks within the city but those brave hunters and scavangers seeking knowledge loot or hunting one of the large amounts of beast that still reside in those cursed walls. They were sacked for all and any information which led to the development and advancement of magic around the world. What groups of Seeree that remained after the war got incorporated into other societies. In fact many members of the High Spire can trace there ancestries back to Seeree ancestors. These Seeree where tasked at decoding the secrets of there people and they went to this task in a mournful silence. Mourning their part in the destruction and death of there people.

These meetings would consist of the Seeree writing down the knowledge and hiding it a way in cashes, normally hidden underground and in areas the bright covered during most of the seasons.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

When a child was born within the community or while traveling the Seeree community would all wait in complete silence until the birthing of the new born. They would listen for the first cry's of the babe, which would indicate that it was healthy. The parent/parents would then present the infant to the whole of the waiting community were they would inspect the baby, and put colorful paints onto its skin representing the new "flame" within them which would glow brighter and vibrant as the child grows and which would inevitably be taken within the bright when they pass away in the future. After all members put paint on the new born elders would inspect the child. To determine its health if the child was found to be strong the parent was then allowed to wash the child normally in a river or other moving body of water. If the child was found to be weak or unhealthy and could not survive the constant travels then the new born would be left at any nearby settlement with many gifts. The child would still be painted but the new adopted family would wash the infant representing there accepting of the child and their role as its new parent(s).

Coming of Age Rites

Children coming of age would traditionally imbibe the decoction of purity and be sent out to travel the bright. Where they would trade with learn from and work with other societies for up to a year before returning to their tribes. They are by in large expected to have courted a member of a different community. Before they go on there travels the Seeree would throw a huge feast and party where everyone would throw colorful powders at each other. At the end of the feast the children would imbibe the decoction of purity while the community washes the powders from their skin and be given gifts before they were sent out into the world. This changed when the Seeree learned the art of casting/weaving it turned into a trial where teenagers had to create and shape a working weave before they are considered an adult. Though casters or enlightened would have more resistance to the bright and if they became beacons they could travel within even the deep bright for sometime before their chroma was consumed.
