The Bright

The Bright devoured the world! It appears as swirling chromatic energy that seems to move with an uncanny natural movement. It is duller then the everbright but is still a painted master piece of illuminating swirling energies. Many claim that The Bright seems to breathe . While others claim that the motion is more of a heartbeat. These claims are hand waved by scholars and philosophers as crazed ramblings of hermits and recluses.   The Bright has both a negative physical and mental effect on living things. It seems to be a force of change and creation. The bright holds the key to weave production what casters call threads. These threads can come to make up wild natural weaves called knots, normally unstable and dangerous.   The Bright seems to damage flesh and if exposure continues it can lead to mutation and deformity, or death. It also seems to have psychological effects on the minds of mortals. If exposed to large amounts or over time death can be instant and psychoses probable. Casters have to expose or imbibe the bright in order to produce chroma. Chroma being a byproduct of bright exposure. Though unlike most mortals trained, casters who imbibed the decoction of ascension have great resistance to the bright. But casters develop a psychological and physical condition called an Adversion over time due to bright exposure and the imbibement of mutagens during the ritual of ascension. Adversions are not deadly to casters like most bright symptoms are to average individuals. They are manageable mutations and or psychological conditions.     The grand Aurora also known as the everbright is the main body of the bright, the bright mostly refer to the terrain or planet bound/touched version of it. The less condensed version that makes it through the the prime or world weave/pattern. During the The Age of Blinding Radiance or the Radiant Age 1 AGW to 462 AGW the bright covered the world the Sanctum cities being the bastions of mortal kind. This age is a time of isolation and mass death, much of the population hid away in the safety of the sanctum cities. Until the divine awoke pushing back the bright and gifted relics to protect there followers and disciples.
