Downers

Downers is a disease mistaken often for depression. It's a disease that produces a chemical overreaction in the body where the body works too hard to compensate. This causes an effect where the user will constantly lose weight and strength until they lose the ability to lift themselves up, before they can't eat.

They fade away to nothing. Malnutrition is surprisingly not commonly the cause of death but instead, it's misdiagnosed and the cures used for depression or parasites. Which will poison the body.

Transmission & Vectors

The means of transmission is unknown. The main guess is that it comes from tainted meat or vegetables.

Symptoms

Symptoms are a general loss of appetite.

Treatment

Time and nutrition are the only means to survive the illness, the immune system eventually does find a means of recovery, but only after the body reaches its lowest point.

Prevention

As the cause of the disease is difficult to pinpoint and therefore eliminate. The general idea is that it comes from either tainted vegetables or tainted meat, which is why it mostly effects the poor. The general thought is that the meat is either expired or was never cleaned.
