The Humans Species in The Black Thorne Continent | World Anvil

The Humans

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

The human ability to adapt without any unique evolution traits is perhaps one of their most profound abilities, allowing them to take up almost every section of the Black Thorne.

Biological Cycle

As time in the Black Thorne moves differently to that of Earth, because of it, it takes 3 to 4 months for pregnancy. Some of the shortest in the entire Black Thorne.

Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Using tools and their natural abilities, they're able to adapt to some of the most severe conditions. Thus they're found in high numbers almost all territories, either as guests or as opponents.

Average Intelligence

Their intelligence is not unique but they have an ability to bounce their intelligence off of each other through writings and cooperation that makes them stand out as some of the most intelligent species.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Their Naming Traditions varied, but with their numbers, it's easy to lose one another so humans will name their fathers, Country and Territory but mainly the city they're from.   Ie. Smunda Of Dzanani, Daughter of Malose of Dzanani

Major Organizations

They are the rulers of all four Kingdoms of the Black Thorne.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Almost all Human cultures change and vary due to the species and environments they are most connected to. These conditions tend to define the human.

History

The great evolution is considered a major event but it's disputed as to who was the first race. Most think it was the humans because of their link with the other races. But also for their near endless numbers. There have always been humans. Taking up so much space they're the majority in every nation.

Though not the smartest of all the races. They're some of the most cooperative amassing enough knowledge to keep growing and adapting. This has put them above all and maintained their position.

Lifespan
90 Years
Average Height
2.5 Meters
Average Weight
130kg-190kg
Average Physique
To many of the cultures, from the Black Air Raiders to the Imosi, the Humans are considered to be fairly pudgy, though not fat like the Ihagu people. They're more undefined and 'round', but not at all slow or weak.

Only the foolish under estimate a human. Their competence, or when pushed, their savagery.

The average height is 2.5 m and average weight 80 kg? So humans in your setting are gigantic and really skinny?

Sep 8, 2018 03:37 by VR Sibeko

Gigantic yes, skinny, not so much.

They need to be incredibly skinny to have that weight. I've checked real people who were that tall and they all weighed much above 100 kg. Édouard Beaupré was 251.4 cm and 170 kg. Väinö Myllyrinne was 251.4 cm and 170.6 kg. Sultan Kösen is 2.51 m and 137 kg. Julius Koch was 246 cm and 150 kg. The last two still look very skinny. 80 kg is a normal weight for someone 180 cm tall, not 250.
