Busi Sunrise

Busi Sunrise

“It’s very beautiful” Diane said, moving to another, thinner cauldron over a smaller cauldron. Inside hot wax bubbled, “I apologise for disappearing. I have no excuses to give” Diane said swilling the wax.
“It’s perfectly fine” Mawansa yelled over his folding of steel. Busi looked up from her chiselling work.
“Donna told us were sleeping on your chair.”
“You were sleeping soundly, I couldn’t”
“Wake me?” Diane asked breaking in. “Of course, you’re supposed to wake me. Busi?” Diane asked.
“When the furnaces light, the red glow, replaces day and night.” Busi recited.
“We do not sleep until we’re done.” Diane said before turning to Busi. “Busi, the cauldrons, are any of them done?” Busi looked up and pointed over her shoulder, behind her was a wooden and iron box, the length of her body. Diane’s eyebrow raised.
“I thought only of doing the arrowheads. Okay. Well Donna, what are you cooling anyway?”
Donna sunk tongs out the water. She pulled out a copper arrow head, the first of the two designs. The arrow was a hybrid of the grappling hook and the triangle. It consisted of lines joined at the tip of the whole arrow, each line was serrated with lines running along the sides capable of holding liquid. Diane eyes the arrow and shook her head. “Look at this arrowhead, this won’t work, will it? The others looked at the arrows.
“Anyone think the arrow heads will hold?” Diane asked. Busi and Donna both handled the arrow head. Donan shook her head. “No this till shatter like glass against armour and break apart against skin.” Donna said. “But it’s copper isn’t it, the steel should be strong enough to pierce, some armours, but here’s a thought I’ve had since first seeing it actually, Mawanda was the one who thought of it first.” Mawanda looked up. “Are you talking about the arrows? We think they may be designed to break off on purpose.”
Busi nodded. “That could be it. They could break off and continue poisoning the arrow’s victim.”
Diane considered their words and groaned. “This is an issue that bends two ways, the first was our original idea for the weapons, a miniature grappler. Which I’ve been thinking about myself. Then their your idea on breakable parts.”
Donna shrugged and took a stool. “So, then we figure out which function is the right one?”
“Mwanda” Diane yelled.
“What?”
“How long until you’re done?” Diane yelled at him.
“I’m nearly done give me a few seconds!”
“Hurry up!” Donna elled at him.
Busi Laughed. Donna held Busi’s hands, “Cousin, has there been any men courting you of late? Any man I need to… intimidate?” Donna said with a smile.
Busi shrugged. I’m not a warrior type, but I’m not a mother type either. I’m a thinking type; no one wants a woman who thinks instead of does.”
“Stop feeling sorry for yourself.” Diane said. “If you want a Black Air Raider man to love you, you have to shoot him down,”
“Without killing him with that rear” Donna finished for her sister before throwing the copper arrow head at Busi.
“It’s easier said than done, you both found love.” Busi said
“Ther’es an easy way to find love. Beat the man you love into submission.” Diane said flexing her arms.
“That’s ridiculous!” Busi gasped.
“I have to agree with my sister, but yes how were you raised that you do not know? You need the fighter knocked into you. You fight the one you love till you find love or you move on.” Donna said. “You learn everything you need to lean in a fight, everything.”
