Castellan of Burle

Kiara Shadowbreaker is the castellan of Burle, a half-elf knight and one of the leaders of the town.
She is known as a grim figure, always cognizant of the threat posed by the denizens of the Darwood, but she is well-liked and respected by the townsfolk as under her leadership the security of the town and outlying farmsteads has been secured.
It is reported that Kiara offers a bounty for any aberration, elemental, or outlaw slain in the region. She keeps a bounty board just outside Burle's gates, which occasionally offers larger rewards for the capture or killing of specific monsters or criminals.

Appearance and Mannerisms

Of average height and build, Kiara is still an imposing figure. Her steely grey eyes, set into a serious and determined face demand attention.
Kiara's long, brown hair is normally tied back into a tight bun. She is more concerned with practicality than appearance.
She wears a mixture of leather and plate armour, coloured in the shades of the forest, with a nonchalant ease, and her shield and heavy axe are never far from her side.
Kiara sees trouble behind every piece of news, and she keeps a unit of warriors and rangers headquartered in Burle, ready to fight at a moment’s notice.

Notable Achievements

Kiara Shadowbreaker has lead many raids deep into the Darwood, helping to root out the bandits and monsters that reside there and occasionally raid the nearby settlements. She has ben instrumental in maintaining the Wild Flame Pact.
It is said that she is especially keen to hear any news about the Scarlet Brotherhood, and is willing to pay for such information. Kiara is convinced that the organization poses a dire threat to the region but has failed to uncover concrete evidence of its meddling.
