The Ezani-Envoqutian conflict
In short, the Ezani-Envoqutian started out as a conflict between the Brutus family. The conflict is about ownership over the Envoqutian army, a mercenary army created and managed by the Envoquti family. The conflict arised as Marcus Julius Brutus started to collect control over all available armies.
Background
The conflict started not long after Marcus Julius Brutus had become emperor. Although he had the title of emperor, his desitions was heavely influenced by the head advisor [name] Brutus. [name] Brutus was also the head of the Brutus family and father of Marcus Julius Brutus. As Marcus' father and head of family, he had great influence the emperors decisions. The motive behind the start of the conflict is a great example of something that was created entirely by [name]. He advised Marcus to seize control of all military power in the nation by either directly obtain onwership over it or gain the right to control the armies at a moment's notice. The emperor started by acquiring the forces of supporting nobles with a deal allowing the state control over their armies when necessary. With this deal the Brutus family had acquired 30% of the nation’s military power. Brutus continued to aquire ownership of armies owned by smaller noble families by pressuring them and threaten them to a deal where they relinquish their ownership to the Brutus family. The Conflict
Prelude
The Envoquti family’s army was highly trained and a famous army. They rarely lost a battle and when they did, they still dealt enough damage to leave the enemy little to no defence. It was considered a smart act to avoid battle against them and retreat if the enemy had the support of the Envoqutian army. It isn’t really a surprise that the Brutus family wanted to get complete control over the Envoqutian army.
