Psionic

As the name might suggest, SIPI is a special military intelligence and policing organization. They are a Corps of the Grand Army of Venus, and they are chosen from among the most talented Psionicists identified on Venus. Their training is much more rigorous than the average GRAV trooper, as they learn to 

Elites

SIPI troopers aren't generally for frontline duty. They investigate 'urgent' or 'special' crimes, such as terrorism, serial killings, Cult activity, or large scale organized crime activity. They have the best training and the best equipment, and they maintain an air of mystique and perhaps even a little terror to assist them in maintaining control when dealing with suspects and the population. 
All that being said, their added discipline, better budget, and fearsome reputation are an asset on a battlefield and they are sometimes held as an emergency reserve to shore up a collapsing line.

Cursed

SIPI is made up of psionic Venusians. This means that nearly every one of them is afflicted with the Curse of Venus. They are issued daily doses of Cubidine-Aeneas to manage the condition, and a specially designed Bioroid known as a Derceto instead of the normal robot issued to most GRAV Teams. This Bioroid is equipped with combat organoids to assist the pair to which it's assigned, but also to keep an eye on them for signs of succumbing to the Curse.

Structure

As a Corps in Venus's Planetary Defense Force, they field ~1,300 people. They organize in smaller units, with three pairs of Partners forming a Team led by a Corporal, six Teams forming a Line under a Lieutenant, six Lines forming a Block beneath a Captain, and six Blocks making up the entire Corps beneath a Major.

The culture of SIPI is one of discipline, relentless self improvement, and a cultivation of mystique and fear that assists them in maintaining control when dealing with citizens.

SIPI investigates more 'urgent' crimes, such as active serial killers, terrorist plots, and Cult activity.

Every SIPI trooper is furnished with a Universal Psi-Amplifier, an Aerostat Swarmwear Cape, and an FM Drone. Every Pair is issued a Derceto bioroid.
