Life Made to Order

Luminar BioTech's signature product is the original strain of Astrinex, originally meant for use as hyperefficient starship crews. They rapidly moved on to boutique livestock (such as the Nipplechicken). From there, Bioroids and biological weapons were next, and then LBT branched out further.

Elegance of the Hive

The founder of LBT, Tess Astrinea, had a particular fascination with swarming and colony insects. She viewed ant colonies and beehives as perfect societies and their members perfect creatures, and all LBT products 'speak' to each other, the living products through the use of pheremones and the machinery through electronic intercommunication. LBT has recently pushed into psionics research, though their level of progress in the field is a closely guarded secret.
