Home of the Shrike and the Tzuriel

The Shrike make their primary home on Deimos. As their primary industry, they hand build high performance intraplanetary vehicles and starfighters. They use Gravplating indoors, but they tend to eschew gravity lanes even in their city and don't use orbital pressors; the Shrikes like to take advantage of the lower gravity so they can fly. The Great House of Clan Tzuriel also makes their home there, mainly in and around the agricultural domes on the Mars-side hemisphere.

War With Phobos

Deimos is in a perpetual cold war with Phobos. The Shrike and the Haruspex hate each other. The two moons reach conjunction every 2.1 days, where Phobos passes between Deimos and Mars. They're only about 8,500 to 9,500 miles apart at the closest. An intraplanetary vehicles with vacuum support can make the trip, and in the early days the Shrike raided Phobos regularly. The reason behind this is that when working together, the Haruspices' telepathic range can reach 10,000 miles, and when they're organized they sometimes use that to raid the minds and dreams of the Shrike looking for interesting or titillating experiences.

HQ of Martian Arms

Martian Arms makes its headquarters on Deimos, and accounts for the vast majority of non-shrike residents. They take advantage of the Shrikes' expertise in the production of high performance Vehicles and parts for their own ships, and the Deimos Shipyard orbits the moon almost within its air envelope. Martian Arms is a state-run gigacorporation that funds the Martian government and the Martian Militia.
