Aphelion Security Team

"Rebuilding my team from salvage is a labor of love and necessity. Each Stardust Anthroid is an extension of myself, precision-crafted for reliability and lethality. Losing most of them in the crash still weighs heavily. But I'll restore them, one component at a time."   ~Major Lucielle Justo, Aphelion Security Team Leader

Security and Stardust

Major Lucielle Justo's security team comprises thirty Yute, Seneca, Lister Unified Stardust Anthroids, synthetic humanoid robots with modular capabilities. Justo personally maintains and modifies these units, leveraging her expertise. The Stardust design's modular ability to make them ideal for her purposes, and she's added armor underlays, servo boosters, and upgraded visual and tactile sensors to each of them.

A Well Oiled Machine

Justo's dedication extends to fabricating parts and upgrading her synthetics. Post-crash, she salvaged components to rebuild five operational units. Her hands-on approach ensures optimal performance and tactical flexibility. Each synthetic reflects Justo's meticulousness and high standards, and represents many hours of downtime spent tweaking and fine-tuning them. They are more than the tools of her trade; they are her companions, her hobby, and her pride and joy.

Equipment and Loadout

Major Justo's team favors YSLU Model G Smart Weapons, utilizing the versatile 15mm smart rounds. Upon learning of the Zhrak's radiation vulnerability, Justo and Dr. Camellion designed quantum-locked Carbon-15 rounds for armor-piercing, radiation-spreading effectiveness. Fabrication limitations hinder large-scale production, but her team's customized arsenal grows daily and she hopes to expand production to be able to supply choice CEPS commandoes.

Carbon-15 Core 15mm AP Smart Rounds: AKA Quinze; Smart Rounds consisting of a sliver core of Carbon-15 which is phased partially into Whitespace. It's kept locked there with a Class A Quantum-Matrix Battery and surrounded by sheets of graphene and tipped by a point of lonsdaleite for maximum armor penetration. The graphene sheets shed as the round passes through a target, and when the battery slips out of alignment, the Carbon-15 rod phases back into realspace and experiences catastrophic decay, bursting over the course of four seconds. This causes a burst of ionizing beta radiation that does critical damage to nearby atoms and can trigger a chain reaction.
