The Disedus family

The Disedus family are both powerful and extremely wealthy and have made their family famous through the ownership of the Great Ironak Lumber. Most of them now live in Evvorgard, though their roots are in the town of Nuecroft.
The head of the family once held the title of Count of Evermere, a title they had earnt through their business. However during the The Ivanov War, when the country was caught up in bitter conflcit with Veelanavia and impending war with Andoria all export of goods deemed to be of tactical importance to Evermere were banned; and ironoak was one such substance. In 3169 A5 Countess Helena Disedus was caught continuing to ship it abroad through what she considered a loophole, but what the queen did not. She was tried for treason, stripped of her families title and imprisoned in Ailesbrig, where she spent the remainder of her life.
The Disedus family have gone to great lengths to repair their reputation in pursuit of a new lordship, but the taint of treason is a difficult thing to shake off.
