Early Life and Education
Orphaned from infancy in The Empire , Aelius bright received a state-funded education through which he qualified for the Imperial Magisters' Academy. At this university he would forge a friendship with Luca Borisov and begin a partnership with him for the furtherance of their respective fields. Studious to a fault, the man was devoted to his studies above all, focused on his quest to make the world a better place by any means necessary. It was during his graduate year that his final project would consist of the artificial manufacture of an incredibly powerful virus and accompanying vaccine that he would come to make a life-changing decision. This was made with the assistance of Luca Borisov that he made the delivery method for this virus. What happened during the initial trials is a secret known only between the two men to this day, but the consequences would leave their literal mark upon the young man's face.
Needless to say that whilst his research did prove valuable to the empire enough to not warrant expulsion from the Academy, he was blacklisted from the practice of medicine within the realm.
It was after his expulsion that he entered a nearly decade-long pilgrimage of self-discovery and training within the forests to the east to become a wandering monk and physician. Making a name for himself after stopping the outbreak of a virulent plague in a small elven village along with purifying a magically cursed bear from annihilating a merchant caravan, Aelius was approached with a summons to The City of Elionshold for a hired job.
Following his acceptance into the newly assembled Adventure Party members , the doctor would find himself thrust into an adventure of sheer and utter madness, thrust into a world of interdimensional insanity the likes of which he couldn't have expected. Thus he would enter the service of Iskra Moiran-Knight of the Province of the Vulpine
The Frost Oni Uprising
During the Frost Oni Uprising of 889 CE, Dr. Bright proved to be a staunch ally and a middle-ground of the party on most matters, proving useful in the field of medicine and feats of agility. During this event he would commit a contentious war-crime by poisoning a series of noncombatants. The legal verdict is still out on this act, as it involved a terrorist group. Uncovering the existence of Luca's Machine Empire as a threat, he had little choice but to put the matter to the side given the more pressing matter at hand. He would additionally come into conflict and occasional alliance with The White Host and its membership, being a major player in the siege of Fort Drache wherein he bore witness to the betrayal of the group by Siobhan Vesta. Revealed as a member of the Host that Iskra Moiran-Knight had captured and attempted to convert to a more noble path.
Continuing through the conflict, Dr. Bright would duel and capture Garuda of the frozen winds as well as the Frost Oni Queen Scunner Friga during the final battle of the Frozen Citadel. @
The Borisov Disturbance
After the capture of Scunner Friga, Dr. Bright would continue to assist the group in its campaign to stop the activities of Luca Borisov, who had re-emerged following his absence from public life in order to proliferate the race of ancient machines that he had been attempting to bring back. This would prove to be a questionable pursuit in its effectiveness, given that the master of machines was in truth the subject of his own betrayal, perpetrated by the notorious blue dragonborn mercenary. Thus entered into an unwelcome alliance of convenience, Dr. Bright would uncover a plot by the Blue Dragonborn to assassinate the members of Parliament within The City of Elionshold, and work with his former nemesis and friend to put a stop to the coup attempt.
Arresting the infamous white host agent "Paperweight" , the truth would be revealed that Luca had organized or at least played some role in the Frost Oni Uprising, as well as erased the memories of Scunner Friga for some reason.
