Iskra Moiran-Knight

Lady Iskra Cimeries Moiran-Knight (a.k.a. Iskra)

I know not wherein my head the secrets of the artifacts lie. I do know a recipe for Onigiri. I do know your fate. It involves Onigiri, followed by your eventual death.
— Iskra Moiran-Knight

Kitsune Space-Time Deity

At this point in her life she is Iskra Moiran-Knight , Matriarch of her family alongside her beloved partner. Presumably with a (still growing) list of 'children' she has adopted, she has retired from adventuring to a remote and mountainous Forest in The east where she maintains an estate and lives with her family in peace. She is most importantly in possesion of the sum total of knowledge acquired in her dimension hopping shenanigans throughout her younger years, and the ability to tap into her various abilities at will to defend herself.

She now lives with her adoring wives, sons, daughters and others that are...as of yet unknown. They are known to take family vacations to other dimensions, given Iskra's mastery of her abilities with destinations running the gambit of lunacy and madness. In addition, at the foot of her mountain lies a sleepy, peaceful town. Trade is plentiful, the standard of living is good, and the population is kept mysteriously healthy due to the bounty of the river that flows forth from the mountain itself. It is also the source of one of the largest 'entertainment districts' in the country, its various Oiran and courtesans providing services to weary patrons. She has found herself caring for the people of this land, with abusive customers toward the residents finding themselves incredibly ill if not dead. Good deeds find themselves rewarded with sacks of coin bearing her mark: A set of tails and a torii gate, a pair of koi fish on the other side bearing a name in a script unfamiliar to the local populace. The gifts have been so plentiful in the years that the town accepts both as a common currency, with a bank established for imperial currency and the Kitsune's coin. Outside of the town itself, the coins are only worth their weight in gold, but still can be valuable nonetheless. More commonly they are seen as badges of honour; favours earned from the mysterious entity atop the mountain.

Before the Madness

To the party as it is now, the Kitsune was born in a far-off land in another world. In another timeline. As far as she is willing to admit she was a science experiment in the creation of a time-space weapon, the project being the brainchild of Armillary Cimeries Petrova. This experiment was a failure, resulting in Iskra's scheduled execution alongside other test subjects following the systematic experimentation hopelessly damaging her mental state. Manifesting her powers as she died for the first time, the humanoid weapon would find herself annihilating the laboratory that had been the subject of her pain and misery for the years, as well as seemingly killing Dr. Petrova in the process.

Left adrift in the frozen wilderness, the young lady had a fateful encounter with a boy. An investigator of sorts who sought to seal her back away for the safety of the magical realm. He would prove to be a threat to the newly unleashed subject, the girl pursued across half a continent as he continued to persist. This chase would end after several months, with the fledgling Iskra gunned down mid-fight by a military intervention. The body would not be found in what would prove to be the first of the girl's many, many, MANY disappearing acts following death.

And yet something remained!

The Madness Sets in

Living through countless lives and worlds, Iskra found herself gradually realizing the extent of her predicament. Unable to die she would note the many worlds that she visited met their ends whilst she would persist, And this fact would prove to undo what was left of her sensitive mind. Time and space ceased to matter, and she would entertain herself with "Playing along" in roles within each world. It wasn't until she discovered the latent abilities of her creation that she got particularly aggressive about her fate. Mind-broken and in possession of impossible amounts of power, the Kitsune would utilize her abilities to manually select worlds to visit and thus learn to control the outcome of fate itself as a result. Seeing all and partaking in all, she found nothing but vacuity as she elected to 'end it all' per se and reduce the variables to a singular point in order to get a grip on her reality. HER. Reality. This resulted in the creation of the Major General Persona , who nearly succeeded in her endeavors before a multi-spectrum team of heroes that included Ankoku as well as her newly adopted daughter Kino defeated her in a climactic final battle.

It was during the final strike that the Major General cast off her true persona before falling to the planet and losing all of the artifacts she had made and stored to that point during the descent. In a night known as the "Scattering Stars" the fledgling world of Tether experienced a boon of artifacts that ushered in the Golden Age of Magic, the rise of the provinces and the creation of the world's boundaries beyond those of individual towns and castles.

The Madness Subsides*

Iskra would take some time to return to the world stage following her fall, spending several centuries in meditation and contemplation about her place in the multiverse as well as her crimes. She eventually elected to make herself known as a force for the better, establishing a valley and Yuukaku to take in the world's miscreants and rejects to a realm wherein they could work, experience pleasure and most importantly do so with divine provenance to ensure their safety.

Along this time frame she met and married an old acquaintance who had moved to become a god-queen of this new world by the name of Astarte, the two creating their own lands before eventually giving birth to triplets. She would just as well meet with a very special young lady from an unknown time period by the name of Kotomi Fairbrooks-Moiran, marrying the dusty-haired woman and bringing her into her newly-established mountaintop domicile as her head maid...and perhaps then some...

As things are now

Hiring on the adventuring party, Iskra is their spiritual liege in their quest to retrieve her fallen artifacts from the Scattering Stars event, as well as handle problematic threats to public order within Tether itself. She is a member of the Illuminati, as well as a fellow of the City of Elionshold.
