Yamagami-Jisho
High Atop the Mountain
Contained in the north of Tether to the very north of the Province of the vulpine is the grand estate of Iskra Moiran-Knight, Deity of the province and protector. Positioned over ten thousand meters above sea level, the mountain is an impossible climb for any mortal to achieve without magical or mechanical assistance. The peak ever-veiled in snow and fog that hides the true form of the castle itself, along with a windstream that threatens to rip any unsuspecting climber to their death at a glance.
Some say that the only way to secure passage is via the footpath at the temple of the fox that rests to the north of the Yuukaku, and such a passage is only ever open to certain shrine maidens, Priestesses, and honored guests of the valley's patron.
Purpose / Function
The castle above the mountain is the home and residence of the deity Iskra Moiran-Knight and her family. It is the seat of government for Yama-No-Yuukaku and the entirety of the Province of the Vulpine. It also serves as a primary holy site for the Worship of Iskra/Way of the Nine Tails.
Alterations
Iskra has made many additions and removals to the estate over time, its walls and inner space ever-changing with her whims. It contains specialized rooms for her children as her family grows, as well as living space for servants, guests and adventurers.
Architecture
The castle itself is designed in a long-lost style that the people of tether may know as in the style of the once-feared Samurai. Considered offensive by many in contemporary society, Iskra flaunts her defiance in this manner. Additionally within are several rooms with vastly different or wholly unrelated architecture in non-euclidian form, such as either Kino Moiran-Knight or Yami Kuzunoha XI 's respective chambers.
Defenses
The magical defenses of the palace are fit for a deity and nigh-unassailable by any except other major deities.
History
Established in 21 CE following the The Scattering Stars, the estate was subtly managed and added to by Iskra over the years. It now serves as home base for the Adventure Party members and as a dry dock for the CloudQuake
Tourism
Tourism is not permitted save for select members of the priesthood of Worship of Iskra/Way of the Nine Tails. Even these are severely limited.
