The history of Atropos is unknown and is considered a state secret of the highest order by The Empire. There are a few details that have come up during Yami Kuzunoha XI 's investigations, but the results have turned up little more than a series of bullet points.

- They belong to the Besson Family and are the sibling of Fr. Remy Besson.
- They are an Imperial Augment of incredible, near-demigod levels of power.
- They are the 1st seat and the leader of The White Host, and are roughly 100 years old.
- Hired by Rashid Caelum II initially, they have served two generations of Caelum family members with deadly precision.

Education
One could say that Atropos wrote the book on covert warfare, proving themselves capable of even evading Iskra Moiran-Knight's eyes from time to time. This talent has been honed over the course of a nearly century-long life of operations in concert with the finest Imperial minds, providing a top-tier educational background to the assassin. From courtesan protocols to statesmanship, it is theorized that Atropos possesses eidetic memory in order to maintain the impressive bank of knowledge that the scientific and magical content they have studied in mind.
Following the theory of eidetic memory, it has been shown that they have the capability to forge even masterworks of art from a single viewing. During an art heist they performed within The Elven Garden in 860 CE, a priceless sculpture gifted to the Elven Empress by Kino Moiran-Knight was professionally recreated by Atropos in an attempt to frame the demigoddess for forgery. The process nearly succeeded, with the truth only being revealed after Kino apprehended the thief personally.
Employment
Currently employed as the personal bodyguard and spymaster of Empress Caelum IV , Atropos serves an additional role as head of the Host with the former title being largely ceremonial. In a humorous note, Iskra is known to occasionally abduct or work with the Spymaster for her own gain.

Mental Trauma
The listing for Atropos' mental traumas is likely a state secret or at least conjecture. The biggest one would have to be the Prince Kuzunoha of the Province of the Vulpine, who is known as a former lover of the phantom. The mention of their name does tend to get a strong reaction from them, normally prompting a violent response.
Intellectual Characteristics
Atropos is an ever-adapting and cunning foe that is capable of taking on Iskra's Eight Guardians and even her children in games of wit and skill. Not to be underestimated, the normal course of action as recommended by the deity is to avoid this dangerous foe or attempt to negotiate safe passage. That or mention that her son was seen nearby.
Morality & Philosophy
Zero scruples for the common moralities of the world, Atropos appears to be almost inhuman in their mannerisms and worldview. Going beyond even the 'ends justify the means', they will willingly step out of their way to ensure that the means are as painful and violent (if not destructive) as possible along the way.
