The Warriors of the Dark Gods

As long as hell has plagued the world, there has been men and women vile enough to sell their souls to them. The world lives in constant fear of these individuals, for they are many. Their path is one of power, but it is an oh so fragile path as they could fall into the fires of hell to simply fuel the demons evermore. Yet this path to power is an intoxicating one, and promises those vile mortals whatever their hearts desire in return for their soul. Those who are righteous know that it is a price never worth paying, but that hardly stops the numbers of warriors dedicated to the Dark Gods. What few wish to admit is that the hordes of warriors dedicated to the dark gods are plentiful, perhaps more plentiful then all of civilization. These twisted psychopaths' and killers despoil and ravage civilization, coming to tear down the many walls civilized people have put up to defend themselves from the barbaric warriors of hell. They cry out offering to their dark gods, sacrificing victims and far, far worse. They are numerous, and they are terrifying. Unlike the Hell Tribes, who are simply mad tribals, the Warriors are elite knights of hell, massive armored warriors in hell-forged plate, and granted the blessings of whatever god of hell they subscribe to the most, or perhaps worship hell in its entirety. They are a nightmare and blight upon the world, and their goal is simple: to bring about the final victory of hell, and watch the world and stars above burn.

Structure

The armies of hell are as diverse as they are plentiful. However, Nika is considered the absolute ruler of the Warriors of the Dark Gods. She is the herald of the Demonic Gods, and with her rule she will unite the highly scattered and war hungry hordes of warriors. She also will help unite the Hell Tribes under her banner, kicking and screaming if need be. However some similarities exist. Each Warband is led by a Chosen Lord, a terrifying warrior said to be oh so close on the path to demonhood.  They are a more favored version of the Chosen, who are a sort of warrior aristocracy within the Warbands of Hell. Sorrcerors also make up their own class as terrible spellcasters said to bring about the full fury of hell. Warriors are the bulk of war hosts, being favoured champions from the countless Hell Tribes across the world. Under the Warriors are the Marauders from the Hell Tribes who march with their banners, hoping to gain the attention of their Dark Gods   Those who fail the Path to Glory are the Forsworn (sometimes also called Fallen), for they have in some way angered the demonic gods and earned their cruel punishment, being mutated into horrific monsters and driven mad by their Dark Gods, as they fight to unleash their centuries of madness and anger upon their victims.

Culture

Infinitely varied as every Warhost can be different, but all worship Hell in some way, and seek to destroy all of civilization that does not also worship hell. Even worshipping Hell does not make one wholly immune to their wrath, for Hell fights with itself oh so much.

Demography and Population

Though many wouldn't like to admit it, they come from all oer the place, and are everywhere. However the largest concentrations of them are located in the Forgotten Lands, Empty Range, and the North and South Poles of the world.

The Path to Glory

The Path to Glory, or sometimes called the Path of Ascension, is what ever dark warrior of hell strives for. It represents the journey each warrior takes in order to earn more and more favor of the Demonic Gods or the one they worship in particular, in order to earn more blessings. More blessings means more favor, and those that complete this path become elevated to becoming a great and powerful demon. It is a path paid in the blood of millions, and requires one to commit the most vile and twisted deeds without even a single shred of remorse or guilt. It requires one to throw away all of their previous life, and to commit wholly to the Hells themselves. The failure to succeed is ultimately death, or far worse. However even with the stakes, the power promised is worth every price.
