Ohuna (O-huu-na)
Ohuna, the people of Ohun, is well known from their metal expert. They live in Ohugas mostly. Their politic is unique; Despite integrating metal into their culture, none of them are used in wars. In fact, they are only used on defences. Their wall was even made out of steel.
History
Capitulated by the Krins in 785 BVE, Ohunas have been forced to gather more metals and produced more weapons for them. Lots of resources and enslaved people were brought back to the beautiful yet disgusted capital, Knirk. Harassing and selling, zero reasons to love them seemed to be true for five hundred years. The High Workshop was forced to be replicated outside the city, disrespecting them to the max.
Then the Valonians came in 32 VE. They responsed like Krins at first, but soon they become more friendly. They didn't enslave like others, just letting them live on their own with only a few of their officers and the consistent tributes. Overall, it look heaven compared to the former lord, or what Valonians said - The Old Lord.
Culture
Major language groups and dialects
They developed the Language of Steel with a set of alphabets made of irons scraps. It's been implemented in many aspects of their culture, architecture, and the most common of all, their linguistic. Although they have abandoned it and replaced with Kritish - the Krin language, the reminant of it still hold unique aesthetic and awe to Ohunas.
Culture and cultural heritage
The most important place of their culture is The High Workshop. Residing at the Iron Height, it's where young Ohunas become the true Ohunas, the sacred place full of prestige.
Average technological level
Ohunas are one of the first culture to use Magnets in their growth of civilizations. They are able to find tonnes of irons beneath the Iron Height, turning them into metal society.
They develop the use of Coke, a special type of fuel made by burning coals/charcoals with the absence of air, eliminating tars and slags inside, leaving with nearly pure blocks of carbon. They made it with the Blast Furnace, the high-powered forge on the High workshop.
They also invents Iron Limbs which allow them to have no worry about losing limbs either by accidents or wars, and also give a unique aesthetic. The mechanized part of the arms and legs are made with variety and precision, catching eyes of various craftsmans from the middleland people.
I love them. I don't blame them for not wanting to use metal for war after what they have been through.
