The Sarced Iron

The magic iron guided us to find the way of success, in our blood and our soul.
— Ohuna Blacksmiths

Magnet, an object that create its own persistent magnetic field, able to detect any iron-based metals. A simple thing but can cause the cultural impact to the people of Ohugas.

For them, Magnet is magic, considered as a religious item. It represents relationship and focus. To forge love, and guide themselves into succeeding in their works. They believe that their god gave them magnets as his most powerful tools following the fire.

Love is like two magnets; Whenever both find the right side, nothing could take them apart. If they find the wrong one, even the stickiest glue couldn't.
— Elders teaching their child

Refinement

Magnet come in the form of Magnetite, which is uncommon on the mountain they lived. It has a shiny cluster and defined ore that sometimes reshaping is not required, but most of them are so big they need to do it so.

It has to be craved and filed into significant shape, commonly a rectangular prism. It has an exception that magnet can't be smelt or its property is gone. Whoever does that might instead be punished in some way.

There was a madman trying to craft the sword out of these, but it seem turned out to be wasted.

Usages

Magnet has been used as a metal detector to find more irons from the ground, the river flow, or the mountainside they lived in.

Staff of the Smith is the best of its kind; the special staff with the head of rings and needle-size magnet spinning freely. Whenever it finds an iron deposit, the will face toward it. However, when it is no such thing nearby, the head will always face elsewhere in the same direction. The result makes the staff functions like compass.
