Honey, a natural viscous substance, had become comodity throughout in South Estisia mostly from feed sweetener. Beside fish sauces , it is a very popular among Valonian and Krin people. How to get it without causing troubles however, is very tough.

Geology & Geography

Honey can be found commonly in the forests thoughtout South Estisia, if they know how to harvest them properly. Most honey consumed by Valonians come from various type of bees, originate from Gate Lowland and Lake Gios, with several more yet unknow to them within the Jungle of the Myst.

Speaking of places, no place can produce goods better than those near Tunwich River. in a fertile land deep into the Ronminar Isles, with a special type of bee, the result is a product with unique flowery aroma and taste. It's been considered one of the exports by the Maritime Kingdom.

Food and Cuisine

Honey has become ingredients for dishes in Valonia and Krin cuisine. One pint of honey would cost around 50 Puns, equivalent to a bottle of fish sauces. Even though poor people may not be able to aqquire so, but just small drizzle over breads either before or after baking, would make the civillian contented and turned hard-working all day.

Desserts are considered luxury. One of the best known recipes is Cheese Cake, consisting of eggs, honey, cheeses, and a pinch of salt. It's served in hotels like Luxo Valosa.

Protection

The sweet of honey can distract insects away. Unfiltered, low quality honey that have unpleasanted taste, or even muddy wax crumb, were very cheap. People would place opened container or smear it on the wall far from their food storages to keep them away.

Manufacturing & Products

Even though honey can be collected directly from wild hives, in the market it comes from the domesticated hives. Despite produce thoughout the continent, yet they have developed simillar harvesting methods. For examples, Valonians would drive bees away with smoke before cutting with knives. Then they seperate it from honeycombs by draining it in a basket in enclosed space, before filtering to achieve the certain transparency.

Special suits were woven to avoid being stung, covering almost head to toe. This also come with a basket mask with tiny gaps for sight, though it is very unpleasant to look at. Wearing it during the night alone would scared all the burglars.
