This begins the GWE's open hostilities with the Untamed Lands as the Emperor declares war on any "uncivilised beast who wishes harm on his betters."

    The military port in the far North-East of Mylrondia, near the point where the Great Wall that borders the GWE with the Untamed Lands is starting to be built, is ravaged by an infection that almost wipes out the section of the Imperial Navy stationed there. The infection dissipates by Summer of 1873EM and is not recorded in any nearby settlements.

    Fortifying of the Dankatch

    The GWE's offense into the Untamed Lands change into defence, as the Imperial Army reach an easily fortifiable location, the Dankatch River. This becomes the front lines of the GWE as the land between the Dankatch and Mylrondia is pacified by force and Imperialised to the best of their capabilities.   This land, known as Durna, is open for migrants from across the world to allow for Imperialisation, and develop into self-proclaimed Border Principalities.

    From the Easterlands of Mylrondia, the Starpoint Infection develops and spreads rapidly with the arrival of Great Black Rats from the Untamed Lands. The Khlorosian Plague sweeps through the Great Western Empire, across the entire known world beyond the Imperial borders. It claims the lives of half the GWE, including the Emperor, killing 300,000 in the year of it's peak in just the Imperial Capital alone.
