Knight

This title is honorary. When a person, male or female achieves a rank of Knight Captain or higher in a Duskh military force, they retain the title of Knight when they retire.
Retiring at this rank often includes bonuses such as land, wealth, and other property in recognition of their service to the Empire.
It is not hereditary.
The form of address is Ser and applies to females or males of any race.

Qualifications

Must have achieved a rank in the Duskhan Army that include the term "knight", as in Knight Captain or Knight Commander.

Benefits

The title usually comes with a cash payout upon retirement from the Army, and also a parsel of land, usually in a frontier province, if the newly-annointed Knight accepts.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

By Imperial law, this title can never be stripped from one who has earned it.
