Kanna Domar - "The Relic Seekers" (Can - ah, Doh - mar)

Of the six organisations that occupy Isthramir, the Kanna Domar are the most powerful of the gangs.   Lead by Bel Doneto and driven by his unending desire, this gang's power stems partially from their wealth, but primarily their ability to locate and gather items. If it exists in Terminus they can obtain it.

Structure

Despite being the largest gang in Isthramir, they still have under 100 members. Subsequently, the Kanna Domar's structure is rather straightforward with a single leader - Bel Doneto - with individual section leaders for each group within the gang. Each section typically contains 1-20 non-leader members who make up the typical ground workers of the group.   Regalius   The leader of the Kanna Domar. At this point in history Bel Doneto, being the gangs founder and first member, is the only person to have held this position. Subsequently, it is his beliefs, desires and goals that drive the whole organistion. He typically gets involved with the whole organisation, though has rarely left Isthramir since the first two years of the gangs creation.   The Longunir - From Longinus and Gungnir   Reporting directly to Bel Doneto, this is the smallest section of the gang, consisting of three members, but the most important to maintaining their position in Isthramir. The Longunir are all Emblem users, specifically those who are the designated fighters.   Due to the presence of the [Istharian Guards], large scale conflicts between gangs cannot occur, as they would attract attention and bring a larger scale force that even the entire Kanna Domar couldn't hope to overcome. Consquently, any disagreements turned conflict between the six gangs of Isthramir are settled with small scale, typically one on one, fights. Representing the Kanna Domar is the primary job of The Longunir.   The Draunark - From Draupnir and Ark   A key segment of The Kanna Domar and middle in size with roughly twenty to thirty members within Isthramir at a given time. This group is tasked with inspecting and collecting items - identifying their value, authenticity and ensuring their safe return to Isthramir. They are therefore typically experienced, trained and trusted members of the gang. This group works closely with the Hyliosks.   Members of the Draunark are identifable by the small "wooden" container they carry. These containers are used to transport the items the Draunark member obtains and ensure their safety. Only the carrier of the individual container - and Bel Donato - knows how to open it once sealed.   The Hyliosk - From Hlidskjalf   The Hyliosk are the largest segment of the Kanna Domar, with thirty to fourty members. This is because they play the role of searchers, looking for and listening to rumours of items of value for the Kanna Domar. They are typically the lowest level within the gang and the first job most memebers have as they simply need to find and report information to The Draunark.   Not a particularly desirable position for most as it involves travelling the country almost constantly to and from Isthramir, only stopping for a few weeks to a couple of months at most, and doesn't offer as much comfort as other positons. However, they are relatively well compensated and is an appealing position to otherwise skilless workers.

Culture

The Kanna Domar are a relatively young group, with their creator - Bel Doneto - still holding the leader position. Subsequntly, they follow his ideals closely, this including:   1. Stealing is heinous: A frim rule within the gang, theft is inexcusable and recieves the harshest punishment. The stems from Bel Doneto's belief that stealing something is undermining its value - if it was stolen it was obtained for "nothing" and therefore has no value. This also follows the idea that if they steal from others, they can be stolen from. If a memeber steals something that cannot be returned, this must be repayed in full.   2. Worth: Everything and everyone has a value, based on its condition and ability to carry out the job it exists for. If that job can no longer be carried out by the item or individual, then they have lost their "worth." These are acceptable grounds for removal.

Assets

Assets come and go, but acquiring them is the Kanna Domar's buisness. As a, technically, "illegal" establishment, there are no known public records of their exact assests - however rumour suggests they rival large towns in wealth.

Territories

The Kanna Donar "rule" roughly 1/6th of Isthramir - specifically the North-Western segment. While this isn't officially recognised, and members of the public can come and go into the territory within reason, all other organisations of Isthramir recognise this territory and the public are generally aware of the territory.   This territory is the largest of those "ruled" by any indiviudal gang. While most buildings within this area are public owned, the Kanna Donar own multiple buildings that they operate from, the majority of which are temporary storage before goods are moved on.

Ooh, very interesting! Have they ever found any particularly powerful/expensive relic? Anything that put them on the map for others? :O

Thank you - I'm glad you enjoyed it! Now that's a good pair of questions.   They have obtained various relics of differing value, though the most significant one would be pieces of Nexus Ore (used to grant special abilities to people or craft tools depending on the culture). While itself not a relic, so not the specific goal of the group, acquiring any of this Ore is significant enough to gain attention.   However there was no specific event that put them "on the map" so to speak, it was more a slow growth of acquiring and trading relics and wealth over time until they became the prominent organisation they currently are.
