Othvarand Reclaimed
Othvarand Reclaimed refers to the pivotal campaign launched by the Mornish Crown in 812 AR to retake the long-abandoned coastal principality of Othvarand. Once part of the Imorean Empire, the region had fallen into ruin and superstition following the Rupture, its cities lost to overgrowth, sea-weathered decay, and lawless frontier rule.
Led by a coalition of noble houses, Church emissaries, and sanctioned adventurers, the reclamation saw Crodeux re-established as a ducal seat, Saint Arvand's Close consecrated, and the Lyceum of the Pale Sanctum founded atop ancient Imperial ruins. The event is widely considered a turning point in the Crown’s westward expansion, marking the return of law, faith, and authority to a land long held in shadow.
Though hailed as a triumph in official histories, some claim the reclamation awoke old powers best left buried, and that not all who aided the Crown's cause were loyal to it.
