The world is bound by Law.

It is said that long ago, the Architect shaped the world from formless Chaos, imposing divine order upon all things. By its decree, the stars move in their ordained paths, kings rule by sacred right, and all must obey the Great Chain of Being. The Church of Holy Law stands as its enforcer, ensuring that none stray from the path, that heretics are burned, that justice is upheld, and that all things remain as they were meant to be.

Yet the world is not as whole as it seems. The great empires of old have crumbled into dust, their secrets lost or hidden away. Whispers of rebellion stir in the borderlands, where exiled lords and desperate peasants defy the weight of their burdens. In the depths of forgotten ruins, things long buried stir, their voices creeping into dreams. The sky itself bears a festering wound, a remnant of the Rupture, when the heavens were shattered and something beyond comprehension was cast into the void.

This is an age of faith and fire, of steel and secrecy, of kings and traitors, of Law and Chaos. The Church stands dominant, but doubt festers in the hearts of many. The nobility rule, but rebellion looms at their borders. The peasants labor, but their yoke has never felt heavier.
