Imorean Empire

Once the greatest power in the known world, the Imorean Empire ruled vast lands beneath the light of the heavens, its rulers and priest-kings tracing their lineage to the celestial bodies themselves. The empire’s faith centered on a pantheon of sun and star gods, each believed to guide the fate of kings, the turning of the seasons, and the destiny of souls. Their temples, adorned with gilded spires and celestial charts, were built in alignment with the stars, and their astronomer-priests watched the heavens for omens of divine favor or impending catastrophe.

When The Rupture came, the sky they revered became their undoing. The heavens did not bless them—they split open, birthing the Cosmic Wound and unleashing the Star-Borne Plague upon the land. The empire’s cities fell into madness and ruin, their rulers stricken with afflictions beyond mortal understanding. Those who did not die in the chaos abandoned their sacred capitals, leaving behind only haunted ruins and sun-bleached bones.

Now, the remnants of Imorea lie buried beneath the dust of ages, its celestial temples cracked and crumbling, its star-charts meaningless beneath a sky that no longer follows the laws they once knew. Yet, among forgotten ruins and in the hushed prayers of exiled cults, there are those who still believe the stars have not forsaken them—and that, one day, their empire will rise again.
