Luminarch

The figure known only as the Luminarch lived during the middle ages of the Imorean Empire, when the sun cults were fractured, and every temple offered a different truth. Neither priest nor noble, the Luminarch was a blind oracle who claimed to have seen the sun for what it truly was—not a god, but a manifestation of an impersonal, perfect Law that underpinned all things.

According to tradition:

  • The Luminarch blinded themselves after witnessing a revelation in full daylight.
  • They preached that true divinity was not found in flame or belief alone, but in structure, order, and radiant clarity.
  • In their final days, the Luminarch withdrew into meditation and vanished—an event known as the Ascension of the Luminarch.

Though few now speak their name, the Luminarch’s teachings became the foundation of the Church of Holy Law. The Order they founded—the Order of the Luminarch—was eventually absorbed into the Church during the chaos of the Age of Woe.
