Archprior
The title of Archprior denotes a senior ecclesiastical rank within the Church of Holy Law, granted to those who oversee a major cathedral and its surrounding region. An Archprior serves as both spiritual authority and administrative overseer, responsible for interpreting doctrine, ordaining Lawbearers, and ensuring the faithful walk in accordance with holy law.
Archpriors report directly to their regional Pontiff, and often act as intermediaries between the Church and local nobility. In matters of heresy, schism, or ritual deviation, the Archprior’s word carries weight equal to that of a noble’s decree. While they wear no crown, an Archprior’s seal is honored across the Mornlands, and their judgments are often final.
