Throden Empire
In the time of The Assault, the Lizardfolk amassed great power and went to war against the denizens of southern Myas'tara. Calling themselves the Throden Empire ('Many Empire', or Empire Of Many in the lizardfolk tongue), their campaign to gain control of Myas'tara was only thwarted by The Seven Eternals.
Forced into submission and driven back into the Kalaskar Swamp, The Seven Eternals showed the lizardfolk mercy, allowing them to remain in the swamp, keeping a close watch on them. Keeping their previous name, despite not being an empire any longer, the lizardfolk reinvented themselves as traders, growing a trade empire across Myas'tara.
The lizardfolk made an agreement with the other nations of Myas'tara to never again attempt a military conquest, an agreement that has so far been kept. The current Throden military is a peacekeeping and policing force.
