Resolutions 2025
I am taking part in the New Years Resolution for 2025. I am going through and reading some of articles from the World Ember event and I feel I have learned a few things by reviewing the ones I enjoyed, and the ones I turned away from.
1) Visually Appealing, doesn't mean it has to be cluttered. I have noticed the ones that I tend to shy away from there is just too much going on. The ones I enjoyed had a proper balance, a color, a consistent style that worked well. They focused on their topic well and allowed nothing that did not fit with that theme to be on the page to create distraction.
2)Even the small details matter, things you might think of trivial might help drive authenticity of the narrative. Even a step by step recipe can help create that real life feel of the world.
3) One article at time, don't bounce between articles. Work through one article at time, one detail at time. Work until it feels complete. If somethings occurs to you to that connects to pervious article you can add that connection to the other article after you finish the article you are working on.
4) Strive for Five, five details. If you can't figure anything else out start with a rule of five. Those five might give you just enough for what you need.
5) It's not the size of the article its the quality. Don't stress that someone's article is bigger do your best work without worrying about comparing or competing.
Five details is really interesting, and I'll take that into account in the future! Love it! Hope you have a great 2025 :)
