Description
Built of wood, canvas, and mithril, this marvel of gnomish engineering was built by the Cult of Shayna using kidnapped gnomes and kobolds. It uses a special, artificially created gravitational field to propel itself. There is a massive eldritch cannon mounted on its foredeck, and a barrel cradle on its stern.
Full Speed Ahead
As an action while on deck, the captain, first mate, or bosun can exhort the crew to work harder and drive a ship forward. Roll a d6 and multiply the result by 5. Apply the total as a bonus to the ship’s speed until the end of the ship’s next turn. If this bonus is applied to a ship’s speed when the ship is already moving faster than normal, use the higher result. Don’t add the two bonuses together.
Fire at Will
As an action, the captain, first mate, or bosun aids the crew in aiming one of the ship’s weapons. Select one of the ship’s weapons that is within 10 feet of the officer. It gains advantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of the ship’s next turn.
Actions
Eldritch Cannon:
+12 to hit, 15d6 damage, recharge on a (5) or a (6) on a d6
A thick, blackish-purple beam of destruction wrethed in blue lightning shoots from the sinister looking weapon located on the bow!
Ballistae
+8 to hit, 3d10 damage
It takes a round to load a ballista between shots.
Release Sppores
100' diameter sphere, the top center of which is at the stern of this airship.
Entering this cloud for the first time, or starting your turn there, forces a DC16 Constitution saving Throw, or become Dominated by Galbrok, as per the spell Dominate Person.
Power Generation
The Galbrok Tamarinds siphon enough energy from their human fodder to allow plenty of it to be diverted to banks of batteries stored in the belly of the airship on gimballs, to act as ballast.
Propulsion
Multi-phasic bipole gravity modulation.
Weapons & Armament
- A multiphasic bipole gravity gun, which condenses the necrotic power stored in the batteries into a massive Eldritch Blast. It takes a couple of moments to recharge after each use (recharge on a 5 or a 6 on a 1d6 ).
- Three ballista per side. It takes a round to load a balista between shots.
- A barrel cradle on the stern, designed to slowly release a fine powder of spores over vast tracts of land.
Armor and defense
Its hull and aerofoils are clad in a slahing-resistant fabric.
Communication Tools & Systems
Several sets of red Psi Crystals, flags, drums, whistles, horns.
Sensors
Infrared and ultraviolet filters have been specially built and fitted to the navigation windows for use when deemed necessary.
Additional & auxiliary systems
It has a special self destruct mechanism built into it, as The Necrodruid does not trust his Kobolds slaves.
Hangars & docked vessels
The Necrodruid docks this airship in a dried out karst window in Greendell Valley. It is accompianied by a glider, used as a scouting vehicle; and a lighter-than-air vehicle stolen from one of the Zephyrean Islands that Galbrok uses for high altitude reconaissance and and intelligence gathering.
