Dale Hartunian Character in Tellus | World Anvil

Dale Hartunian

Lord Dale Winifred Hartunian (a.k.a. "The young stag")

Dale Hartunian, called "The Young Stag" by many (mostly older) folks, is the eldest son of Roland Hartunian III. He is the Hartunian Family golden child. It was foretold he would rise to greatness amongst his forbears, and he has (so far) not disappointed. Excelling so thoroughly at his studies that The Bardic College Campus graduated him three years early (of a six year course load) because he simply tested out of them at a graduate level. He is not too tall, he isn't too short, and his athletic build is rounded out by plenty of well nourished flesh and bone. He is a natural born hunter, and a renowned falconer with trained birds who fly constantly all throughout the land between home and city. He is apprised of far more than anyone in his family realizes.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Dale is the epitome of the human physical archetype.

Body Features

He has broad shoulders, long legs, and an impressively muscled abdomen. He has a chiselled physique and is considered handsome by any reasonable standard.

Facial Features

A strong jaw, and the long aquiline nose of his father's family.

Identifying Characteristics

His hair is the unique (and very rare) Hartunian red.

Physical quirks

His legs are a little too long, and his eyes are set very deeply. He also has pretty prominent ears.

Special abilities

He is an unbelievable tracker and hunter. Some would even say it's a divine gift.

Apparel & Accessories

As a servant on The High King's Seat, Dale wears a cream colored sash embroidered with his family's heraldic crest, a white stag on a green and white striped background.

Specialized Equipment

His sash of office, and his unique signet ring. He also wears a pair of boots made for him by a friend of his.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Dale is noble, honorable, stable, confident, and regal. This is because he was quite 'rambunctious' as a kid, or so he has been told.

Gender Identity

Dale was promised to his wife's family since before he was born. Luckily, both he and his wife like each other quite a lot, and have fallen in actual love. Another win for the Golden Boy of the Hartunian Family.

Sexuality

Heterosexual. Pretty darn plain vanilla.

Education

He has been afforded the very best in education and martial training.

Employment

He has been born and bred to lead the Hartunian clan.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Dale has a cabinet full of trophies, and certificates and diplomas enough to wallpaper several homes. He has a chest full of medals and has been lauded by virtually every charity organization known on Pax.

Failures & Embarrassments

Dale was mocked ruthlessly by the boys in his age group for taking ballet.

Mental Trauma

He was not 'raised' by his father, so much as 'molded'. But, as nice as his old man was, Roland Hartunian III was not subtle about his son's education. He has been fostered out, and physically abused by his host. He watched a pack of coyotes kill his childhood dog.

Intellectual Characteristics

He is, in fact, usually the smartest person in the room.

Morality & Philosophy

"With great power, comes great danger. That danger stems from emotional need. The basic human needs for safety and stability. "

Taboos

Nobles abusing their hold over the people they are responsible for.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Duty, honor, due diligence, and responsibility. Helping his people prosper.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

He is very politically savvy, indeed, jumping into his father's rather large shoes to fill with aplomb.

Likes & Dislikes

He really likes hot chocolate! He really hates beets.

Virtues & Personality perks

He truly believes in his family's mission to guide their clan, their citizens, to prosperity and happiness.

Social

Religious Views

He believes religion is a wonderful thing to help bolster his people's spiritual lives.

Social Aptitude

He is socially gifted, but it takes a lot of energy for him to be around crowds of people. He is one of those people who needs his alone time.

Mannerisms

Dale is a noble and altruistic man, and acts politely in all his affairs. Until it is past time for politeness, that is.   He is a man of virtue and honor.

Hobbies & Pets

Dale is a falconer of some renown amongst those keen on the sport.

Speech

His speech is effortlessly regal and trust inspiring.
